  • Surya Namaskara(sun salutation A)-Surya Namaskar is a basic yoga nevertheless a single yoga pose equivalent to 288 yoga poses. This single pose consists of a 12 step process, which is done to show a humble gratitude to surya and in a way a thanks to the Sun.
  • Padangusthasana-This pose gently stretches your body and helps bring flexibility. Meaning of padangusthasana is “Big Toes”.The value of padangusthasana is that it stretches the hamstrings, calves, backbone, and abdomen muscle. The other benefit of padangusthasana is it stimulates the liver and kidneys.
  • Utthita Trikonasana-Trikonasana or Extended triangle pose is not usually not recommended for people with a back problem. In this asana, the practitioner has to stretch his leg and bend sideways and touch your palm on the floor. This yoga pose helps in abdominal organs and helps indigestion. It gives strength to your legs, ankles and feet.
  • Parivritta Trikonasana-It is a counter pose of trikonasana. It gives flexibility to the hip joints which help indigestion. It gives starch to the back muscle which removes the stiffness from and sprains from the lower back. It relieves mild back pain. It opens the chest to improve breathing.

  • Prasarita Padottanasana A, B, C D-The meaning of the word Prasarita Padottanasana is a spread-out-feet intense stretch. The common name of this asana is (Wide-Legged Standing Forward Bend ). The benefit of Prasarita Padottanasana is it helps improve hip joint flexibility which is the common problem found on older women. Another benefit of Prasarita Padottanasana is it creates length in the spine.

However, most students complete a 200-hour YTTC before a 300-hour course. Visa Fees, Airfare, or Travel to India

  • Participants are responsible for arranging their own visa and international/domestic travel.

Taxi Pick-up from Delhi or Haridwar

  • We can help you organize transportation, but the cost is not included.

Air Conditioner (available at additional charge)

  • Optional for those who prefer extra comfort during summer months.

Room Heater (available at additional charge)

  • Recommended for winter stays if you need additional warmth.

To help you prepare for your transformational journey with Rishikesh Yog Darshan, here’s a thoughtful list of essentials to carry. We recommend packing light, comfortable, and practical clothing suitable for both practice and exploration.

Clothes:

  • White Dress: Please bring one white outfit for the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • Yoga Gear: A few pairs of comfortable leggings or yoga pants and supportive tops. Choose what you love practicing in.
  • Casual Wear: Loose, breathable clothes for town visits, temple outings, or short hikes.
  • Warm Outer Layer: A light jacket or fleece for cooler mornings and evenings.
  • Sleepwear: Comfortable clothing for restful nights.
  • Sandals or Flip-Flops: Easy to slip on and off between classes and rooms.
  • Bath Towel: Kindly bring your own towel for daily use.

Yoga Mat:

  • Our school provides yoga mats for class use. However, if you prefer practicing on your personal mat, feel free to bring it from home
  • Or you can purchase your own mat from us at the school.

Course Materials:

  • We provide all required course materials including notebooks, pens, manuals, and other learning tools — no need to carry these.

Toiletries:

  • Bring basic items like soap, shampoo, toothbrush, and toothpaste.
  • Deodorants, mosquito repellents, sanitary products, and more are easily available at local shops nearby.

Medicines:

  • Bring your regular prescription medicines, allergy medication, and any supplements you need.
  • We recommend multivitamins if you're new to a completely vegetarian, Saatvic diet.
  • You may also carry basic meds for cold, flu, digestion, or muscle pain.
  • Eye drops are helpful if you're prone to dryness.
